VETERINARIAN:
Stephanie G. Gandy-Moody, DVM
Dr. Gandy always wanted to be a veterinarian, but never imagined that her love for cats would, or could be a career option for her. It wasn't until her sophomore year of veterinary school that she was aware of cat only veterinary hospitals. Dr. Gandy spent 9 weeks with Dr. Gary Norsworthy in San Antonio, Texas and after working with over 700 cats, she was hooked! "Feline medicine is as much an art as it is a science. Cats have not only have very unique medical conditions from dogs but very unique personalities as well". From Dr. Gandy's sophomore year of veterinary school to the present, she has devoted her time and energy to just cats. She was the president of the American Association of Feline Practitioners Club at Mississippi State University and was awarded their student of the year award for dedication to feline medicine and surgery. Dr. Gandy has studied and worked with cats in Texas, Colorado, California, and North Carolina. Before moving to Alabama she most recently practiced in a feline only hospital in Wilmington, NC. She looks forward to residing in North Alabama and continuing her passion of practicing feline medicine and surgery.
RECEPTIONISTS:
Tabatha Hart
Tabatha is from Cullman, AL. She has a pitbull named Sadie, and 2 siamese kittens named Gigi and Chester. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her children and watching SEC football.
Debbie Thompson
Debbie is a Huntsville native. She comes to us with an extensive background in residental and commercial property management. Debbie enjoys just having a good time and never meets a stranger! Seriously! She has a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, named Riley. Debbie currently resides in Southeast Huntsville and commutes to Madison where she and Pablo run the show!
TECHNICIANS:
Brandy Dupree
Brandy is from Harvest, AL and graduated from Sparkman Highschool in 2003. She has worked as a veterinary technician for approximately 5 years. Brandy enjoys working with our feline patients and has a strong interest in dentistry and behavior.
Jennifer Beach
Jennifer is from Athens, AL and is currently attending Calhoun Community College. She has 1 cat (Monster) and 1 dog (Rain). Jennifer enjoys sewing, riding motorcycles, and learning new things about cats and veterinary medicine and surgery.
KITTY CARETAKER:
Clara Connelly
Clara joins us from Texas. She has been living in Madison now for about a year and a half. She is also known at The Cat Hospital as "Bubbles" due to her bubbly and friendly personality! She takes pride in taking care of all of our guest at The Cat Hospital.
THE HOSPITAL BRATS:
Inky
The original Cat Hospital Cat. Inky was our first baby. He enjoys laying up front near the receptionist desk and greeting clients.
Pablo
Pablo is curious one. You may find Pablo laying on the receptionist desk, playing in the toilet, eating staff members lunches. He is always busy and always up to trouble, but we love him anyway.
